LifeEcho // Disclaimer

Important limitations, responsibilities, and appropriate use.

LifeEcho is designed as a personal reflection, visibility, and note-display tool. It is intentionally lightweight and local-first, which makes it flexible, but also means it should be used with sound judgment and appropriate backups.

General Use

LifeEcho is provided for personal organization, reflection, reminders, and ambient display. It is not intended to replace professional tools, formal records, or systems that require guaranteed retention, auditability, or operational reliability.

  • Use it for ideas, prompts, goals, quotes, intentions, lightweight reminders, and similar personal content.
  • Do not treat the application as a guaranteed archive, regulated log, or official recordkeeping system.

Local Storage And Data Risk

  • LifeEcho stores core data locally in your browser unless you explicitly export it.
  • Browser storage can be cleared, reset, corrupted, or removed by browser settings, device resets, profile changes, privacy tools, or manual cleanup.
  • You are responsible for exporting and backing up any content you consider important.
Recommendation: export your data periodically if you rely on your echoes over time.

High-Stakes Use

  • Do not use LifeEcho for medical, legal, financial, compliance, emergency, safety-critical, or mission-critical tasks.
  • Do not depend on it for deadlines, treatment decisions, legal notices, contractual obligations, or situations where missed information could cause harm.
  • If accuracy, retention, or alerts must be guaranteed, use a dedicated professional system instead.

External Data Sources

LifeEcho can visually append display-only echoes from an external JSON source, but those entries remain dependent on the availability and format of that external host.

  • External data may fail to load because of invalid JSON, file permissions, link format, network issues, or browser security restrictions such as CORS.
  • Display-only external entries are not editable inside LifeEcho.
  • You remain responsible for the source file and the accuracy of any information loaded from it.

Recording And Export

  • Recording is browser-based and depends on browser support for capture APIs.
  • Visual output may vary slightly by browser, performance mode, hardware, and media-recorder support.
  • Exports should be reviewed after recording rather than assumed to be perfect without verification.

No Warranty

  • LifeEcho is provided on an as-is basis.
  • No guarantee is made regarding uninterrupted operation, data preservation, compatibility, or suitability for a particular purpose.
  • By using the application, you accept responsibility for how you choose to rely on it.
